Her experience uniquely sits at the intersection of tech, hospitality, entertainment, beauty, fashion, music and media industries providing her with a uncanny ability to color outside the lines. Starting out in fashion and beauty PR for brands like Zac Posen, Ports 1961 and Estee Lauder taught her early on the power of positioning and product storytelling.
Later joining independent media publisher Paper Magazine as Director of PR and Talent Relations Janjay became instrumental in building the company’s creative marketing agency, where she led strategies for brands including American Express, LVMH, Target, Converse and Pernod Ricard. Following her time at Paper, she founded her own brand strategy and marketing consultancy to help brands create meaningful connections to culture and creatives. She partnered with agencies, brands and talent including American Express, Awge, Madwell, The Gathery, Dwayne Wade, Farfetch, The Weeknd, Diageo, Ray Ban and more. A proud second-generation Liberian, Janjay was born in LA, raised in Kansas City and honed her creative chops in NY. She is said to have west coast energy, a midwest heart and an east coast hustle.
